Iranian short film ‘Ardak’ has won award at the Athens International Digital Film Festival in Greece.

Directed by Esmail Monsef, ‘Ardak’ won the best film award at the sixth edition of the Greek event.

The film, which is a product of the Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS), tells the story of a father waiting for the return of his son who left the country many years ago.

Monsef’s ‘Ardak’ has already grabbed the Best Interpretation Award from the Sose International Film Festival in Armenia.

About 150 films from more than thirty countries were screened at the festival. Of those, sixty appeared on the screen for the first time, as many directors chose this festival to premiere their works.

The festival includes all typical categories such as short and feature films, video art, video dance, experimental, animation, short and feature documentaries.

The 6th edition of the event was held in Athens from February 2 to 8, 2017.
